I have a brass necklace, and, it's itching my skin. Will coating it with nail polish help? Why?

You can get a lacquer for things like Christmas decorations called Plasti-Kote that may do the job. Clear nail polish would do, but it may flake off when you wear the necklace.I have a brass necklace, and, it's itching my skin. Will coating it with nail polish help? Why?
YES but make sure its a pretty thick layer of polish and hang it up to dry so that it doesnt come off. its because the actual brass is not touching your skin there is a layer in between your skin and the necklace. i used to turn green from that kind of stuffI have a brass necklace, and, it's itching my skin. Yes it will help. You鈥檙e allergic to something in the necklace most likely nickel. Putting clear nail polish on it will help for a little bit (until it wears off) because you are putting a bearer between you and the thing you are allergic to. hope this helps
well.....you can try~but i don't think it will help a lot ~

you must coating the nail polish veeery thick~

in case that the molecule of the metal ingredient touch your skin~
