Do you have to take a needle if you have an ingrown toe nail and will it hert?

I don't know how docs fix this now but when I was 12 (15 yrs ago) I had an ingrown toenail and they gave me four shots on each side of my toe. It felt like a bee stinging. Then after it was numb they cut out the side of the ingrown toenail.


Things are probably less painful now. I hope so for your sake. It may have just hurt so much because I was only 12 too.
